DoJustice

Micah 6:8 says, "And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." As followers of Jesus Christ, we are committed to living our lives in this manner. Carrying the name of Jesus into every and all situations in life. In the midst of doing justice and loving mercy and walking humbly with God we will carry the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ.
As a church family, the core of our faith is becoming more and more like Jesus Christ. As we read Scripture, the life of Jesus and how He treated everyone, we cannot help but realize that our lives must imitate His in living like EVERYONEmatters. Everything Jesus did, everything He said, everything He commanded points to loving God with all you have and loving others becauseEVERYONEmatters. Its why the call of Scripture is to do justice & love mercy.
Our faith family believes that our faith and passion to become more like Jesus results in sacrificing our time, our money, our resources and our lives to display and live a life like EVERYONEmatters.
Our DoJustice focus is our way of living intentionally, pouring our lives into others. We do this through prayer, through funds, through refugee sponsorship, through physically supporting, through food baskets and more.
See our current DoJustice projects below and ways we are living all out becauseEVERYONEmatters...

Threads of Hope -- Philippines
resource type: info
On March 13th, 2011 our faith family joined with over 2,500 other faith communities from all over the globe for FREEDOMsunday. We spent a day to pray, sing, teach and speak into the global crisis of modern-day slavery...that currently has over 27 million slaves trafficked around the world for sex, labour, debt, etc.
God has given us a passion to make an impact on this number and to start somewhere. God put in our path an organization that serves in Puerto Galera, Philippines...called Threads of Hope.
Because of the poverty in Puerto Galera, there is a desperate need to survive. They have tried to make funds by making woven baskets and jewelry to tourists. This simply was not enough to sustain them and the result now is that the only hope is found in selling themselves and their kids into prostitution to make enough to survive.
Enter Threads of Hope --> a ministry that makes woven bracelets to provide funds and an alternative to surviving. The bottom line is that women and children are discovering that there is HOPE in life through these simple threads. We have joined in the effort of stopping this sex trade by selling bracelets from Threads of Hope.
Please consider buying some braclets (only a Toonie a piece), giving them away and making others aware of this amazing opportunity to impact others in the Philippines.
To buy some bracelets, please contact Otto & Lorena Ramirez and we'll get them to you.
